School is out and my kids dance recital is over...so on with the summer right?

WRONG!

I signed up my kids for a program called DANCE FLASH MOB with the Debbie Allen Dance Academy and then I got roped into doing it... with a bum ankle!

I don't want to look like a wimp, but how Michael Jackson EVER danced this long is beyond me! Rehearsals were from 2-8PM this week. Most of the time, I had to watch. Right now, I can't take a step...I just drag!

I HATE that I ever broke my ankle, as I've never had this kind of experience. There are grandmothers in this group.... kicking it! And I'm dragging along!

At least I'm out of school with the kids for the summer! I really want to take some pictures of this Dance Flash Mob to send to the editor as she's never going to believe what I've gotten myself into and I can only pray that I can go through with it.

One scary things that happened during our rehearsal is that a mom's toenail got ripped off... and still, she's SO determined she tells me "my doctor said I could still dance!"

Yeah, well my rehab facility tells me I'm doing "just great" and I've got a new gait... I walk like a "gangta" with my bad ankle!

I wanted to tell the mom that sometimes you've just got to follow your heart and your pain! If you are gushing blood, maybe you should call it a "wrap" and come back next time?!

Wish the girls luck! And me too! I have to make this short since even my fingers are killing me. I'm afraid that when I attempt to do "Hip Hop" I will hear my HIP.... POP!

This is bad... But being all around these people who share the passion for dance makes me feel alive for the first time since breaking my ankle. The rehab is so depressing. I feel like I am at a Shiva call every time I go. Maybe I'll have some fun stuff to tell you soon... right now, I'm going for the Epsom salts!
