When Hamas or the Palestinian Authority speak of "the occupation" they are not referring Judea and Samaria. They are speaking of the entire state of Israel. In their world vision, there is no room for compromise, no room for Jews -- anywhere.

Let's see, Mashal gives a speech in which he calls explicitly for the destruction of the Jewish state -- and the world yawns.

Sixty-seven years ago, America and the Allies confronted two foes, Germany and Japan, who held similar racist, eliminationist goals. America did not hesitate to carpet bomb their industrial centers, their cities, their civilian populations.

The civilized world understood that the only way to rid the world of such malevolence was to defeat, humiliate, and leave their societies in ashes.
