Dustin Hoffman, Meg Ryan Cancel Israel Visits Follow Virtual Jerusalem on and Date Posted: 2010-07-07 15:57:57
In an apparent reaction to the Gaza flotilla incident, actors Meg Ryan and Dustin Hoffman reportedly have backed out of attending the Jerusalem Film Festival. Ryan cancelled her appearance the day after the Gaza flotilla incident, the Jerusalem Post reported, quoting Cinematheque associate director Yigal Molad Hayo. Molad Hayo said Hoffman broke off negotiations, which had reached an "advanced" stage, the day after the incident in which Israeli Navy commandos boarded a Gaza-bound vessel attempting to break a maritime blockade, resulting in the death of nine passengers. While neither actor said explicitly that the flotilla incident was the reason, "it became quite clear that this was the reason," Hayo told the Post. In addition to the actors, Prince Albert of Monaco canceled his participation in the event, which begins Thursday and runs for two weeks. The film festival is scheduled to have a tribute to actress Grace Kelly, the prince's mother.

Israel does not need Dathans who remained silent of the Balfour's corruption, the calling of a deathly 3-state as a 2-state, and the re-dumping maneuver of calling Nazi Islamists as Palestinian. Israel must also say good riddance that Turkey is no longer a fake ally.
AT LEAST THE NAZIS WERE HONEST ABOUT IT.

If they (Meg Ryan and Dustin Hoffman) canceled because Israel was protecting their homeland then so be it. I have always respected these two actors, but for them to react against the decision that Israel had to make concerning the flotilla incidentis is totally wrong. Both will be remembered for their actions, and both will be forgotten as actors in my book. Maybe they would like to take up housekeeping in Turkey? David

It takes a lifetime to build a formidable oeuvre, that people show reverence to and only a moment of mind-boggling thoughtlessness to chuck it all. Here's to the requisite losers and their newest and infamous inductees: Hoffman, Ryan and Prince Albert, whose mother, Grace Kelly, was this year's honoree at the Israeli Film Festival, for which all three were invited. This could not be as great an embarrassment to the Grimaldis of Monaco as their everyday lives have been since her marriage to Prince Rainier, so nothing is lost when there was no there, there to begin with. The playpen for morons is expanding at such a fast rate it won't be long before larger quarters will be required. Maybe the ingrates can do their own Telethon for Losers.

... And what has constitutionality got to do with the event rncirdoeg of a multi-county law enforcement organization? They can only make arrests if a crime has occurred. Obviously the idea is to keep abreast of political events so that if a crime or terrorist event happens they aren\'t caught completely with their pants down. Otherwise, after a crime, they get called Deaf, dumb and blind by all the posturing pundits and politicians. This way they have suspects. Or maybe they can arrest the perps for conspiracy or for attempted murder and prevent the crime.A more reasonable objection would simply be that the whole effort is likely to be something of a big waste of the taxpayers money. The incidence of politically-motivated crime in Central Florida being rather low. Although by pooling the costs, the counties might save money. Surely they\'ll claim that. And their record-keeping can\'t even have a Chilling effect unless it\'s widely publicized. Like by this blog.In any event, it isn\'t a violation of the Constitution.
