Adam Lambert fans have taken up arms in the Twitter world after the Idol singer posted a picture of protesters outside a recent concert of his. The picture, seen below, shows a small crowd of people holding hateful signs with slogans like 'Fags hate God' and 'the Jews Killed Jesus.'

Morons protest Lambert

While the Glambert squad of fans were out for blood after witnessing such hateful bigotry, Lambert himself merely posted: "God doesn't hate."

Thousands of people responded to his tweet, sending out their support and outrage at this devastating display.

Adam Lambert, a gay Jew, was the runner-up in the 2009 season of American Idol. Some speculated that Lambert did not take the Idol crown despite his insane vocal chops and performance ability because of his more colorful life choices. While on Idol he never made any formal statements concerning his homosexuality, nor did he deny it when brought up. In fact, rumor has it that the Idol crew asked him to 'keep it quiet' until the show finished.

As far as the Jewish factor goes, somewhere in the middle of the season an Israeli reporter discovered Lambert's Jewish roots, and it went viral immediately. Video of him singing in Hebrew (at the synagogue no less) was posted online and received thousandsof hits.

Here we are, a year later, after much controversy caused by his choices in choreography on live television, (cough, kissing men, cough,) his bizarre and envelope-pushing outfits, and outspoken nature. Whether people love or hate Adam Lambert, most reasonable people who are not morons do not base their decision on his religion or sexual orientation.

Except of course, these bigots here. They remind me of the group who called for the boycotting of the Jewlicious Festival two years running. The Westboro Baptist Church, the people behind godhatesfags.com and the ever so catchy Jewshatejesus.com, often come out of the woodworks in droves to boycott various events with Jewish or homosexual elements. I can only imagine how excited they would be to boycott a gay Jew. It almost makes their task easier!

I really couldn't tell you if the people in this picture have any affiliation with the Westboro church or the aforementioned sickening websites, but one thing is certain - they share their goal. Hatred that they claim will please Jesus Christ.

JewskilledJesus.com eloquently explains on their homepage that:

The Jews killed Jesus. That fact will never change. They have never repented, and they try to bully into silence anyone who states that fact.

They try to deflect this awful sin by saying, "Jesus was a Jew." Yes - he was. And the Jews killed him...You rebellious sinful Jews will NOT get a pass because Jesus was a Jew. The Jews killed Jesus!

Sigh. You think at least they would get someone older than 13 to write copy for their website. Hmm.

They also feature a section called 'Jews and Fags.' Initially I wasn't going to click on it, because you know, I figured it'd be a mighty long list... but as they say curiosity killed the cat. The following nearly made me vomit:

"I guess you could say a fag is a Jew pretty much." 8-year-old Noah Phelps-Roper on 20/20 11/07

The 8-year-old hit the nail on the head. The distinction between fags and Jews at this hour is - well - none! John Stossel the Jew sat looking the 8-year-old in the eye trying to act smug as though this statement was just childish. But he couldn't faze the little guy with the pure heart... John looked embarrassed and awkward. Because the simple fact is, fags are Jews and Jews are fags.

Well gee, is this what qualifies as breaking news? Honestly, bigots would be much more impressive if they learned how to be literate. Some of you may have heard that VirtualJerusalem.com was hacked recently by a raving antisemitic lunatic who left a rambling message about how Jews should go and die, etc. It really would have been much more impressive if he had used the spell checker first, but I suppose you can't have everything.

In all seriousness however, it must be said that this kind of behavior is not only despicable, but it is also a slap in the face to Christianity in general. I'm no expert but this is not Christian behavior. Poor Jesus.

Yes, antisemitism is nothing new, on the contrary - it's been around forever. And yes, anti-gay sentiment is nothing new either. Let's face it, this is upsetting, but not surprising. Another day in Jewville, etc.

The truth is, the only thing that surprises me about this picture is that Mel Gibson isn't in it. Hmm. Maybe he missed the memo? Lord knows, he's been busy lately.
