The father of pop star Katy Perry, an Evangelical preacher at an Ohio church, made some
bizarre remarks against Jews during a sermon.
"You know how to make the Jew jealous? Have some money, honey. You go to L.A. and they own all the Rolex and diamond places. Walk down a part of L.A. where we live and it is so rich it smells. You ever smell rich? They are all Jews, hallelujah. Amen." said Keith Hudson, 63, at the Church on the Rise in Westlake,in his first sermon since the announcement of his daughter's divorce to actor Russell Brand.
The Inquisitr reported:
The preacher was asked if it is hypocritical for him to bash Jews as being rich and having too much money and then collect other people's cash? He replied that he lives off the gospel and nothing else.
"You are the parents of Katy Perry, you must be rich.' No, she is, I am not, hallelujah."
"People say 'How is it you have a daughter raised in the church and she sang 'I kissed a girl and liked it'? I say 'I don't know.' I'm sure Katy is trending on the Internet just to get you into church tonight."
Perry's mother, Mary Hudson, also is a minister at the church.
