It's not every day that you come across a "kosher" sex shop.

Which is exactly why one young Orthodox Jewish couple decided to take matters into their own hands, and create one. KosherSexToys.net was launched when the couple, from Lakewood NJ, were interested in enhancing their sex life, but realized they had nowhere to go that wasn't "seedy."

"We were thinking, Wouldn't it be nice if there was a place we could go that would be clean and would enhance what we have between us?" Said "Gavriel," the site's founder.

Sure enough, one of the points emphasized at KosherSexToys is, " You will never see something on this site that will make you blush."

The conservative looking store features vibrators and other sex gadgets, as well as fetish items, lotions and furry handcuffs. Each item is accompanied by a blurb explaining the method of usage for each items in clean and clinical (and rather cheerful) terms.

Gavriel told The New York Post, "There's nothing wrong with using a vibrator. It's just a pain in the neck for an Orthodox Jew to find one. Even going to Amazon is tough because there are pictures we have no interest in seeing," he added.

The site also offers visitors the chance to ask Jewish sex and marital therapist, Dr. David S. Ribner, anonymous questions.

Various Rabbis have already stated their disapproval over the existence of such a store despite the very obvious disclaimer on the site's "About Us" page which states that the website is, "Obviously only for married adults."

The New York Post article included a quote from Rabbi-to-the-Stars, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, in which he stated, "The greatest misconception in pop culture is that religious people are pious in bed. In fact, Orthodox Jewish couples are taught, once they get engaged, to have phenomenal, shout-out-loud, swinging-from-the-chandelier sex."
