1 large onion
2 tbls. oil
½ lb. ground meat
1 can sauerkraut (16oz.)
4 cups water
1 bouillon cube
2 tbls. catsup
2 tbls. brown sugar
1½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. black pepper

Directions: Chop the onion. Heat the oil in a big saucepan and fry the onion until light brown. Add the ground meat and fry it with the onions until browned. Into some saucepan add the can of sauerkraut (also the juices). Add 4 cups water, 2 tbls. catsup, bouillon cube and sugar. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and let simmer for 15 minutes. Taste and add salt and pepper. Continue cooking for another 15 minutes on low heat. Serve hot.
