Chicken in Honey-Wine Sauce

Ingredients:

2 chickens, whole or cut into serving pieces
2 teas. salt
1/2 teas. pepper
1 cup dry red wine
2 or 3 garlic cloves, crushed
1 teas. dried thyme
1 teas. dried basil
1 teas. dried marjoram
1/4 cup honey

 

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400
Place chicken in a large, deep roasting pan
Sprinkle with salt and pepper
Combine remaining ingredients, stirring to dissolve honey
Pour over chicken
Roast, basting frequently, until chicken is tender and browned
(50 to 60 minutes for pieces; 1 1/2 to 2 hours for whole chicken).
