Israeli Berry Soup

Thanks to Minette Greenman, who will always be loved as a beloved grandmother!

Ingredients:

2 cups fresh or frozen berries of any kind
1 qt. cold milk
sugar or honey to taste
lemon or orange juice to taste
sour cream for garnish

Directions: Put berries through a strainer, leaving a few whole ones for floating on top of servings of chilled soup. Stir in all ingredients except sour cream. Taste and add lemon juice or sugar as desired. Chill at least one hour before serving. Float sour cream on top of each serving, or stir in, a for borscht. Decorate with whole berries and a spoonful of sour cream. Serves 6 to 8.
