| What I have trouble understanding is why the \"establishment Jews\" are so fearful of Yeshua. I have seen throughout the years the orthodox Jews following more of the Sadducee and Pharisee fear of Yeshua in their day because He was a threat to their power base. As far as I can tell in the studying that I have done, the primary reason that most non-believing Jews reject Him is for that very reason, they passed down a fear-mongering mantra for Jews not to study for themselves in the Hebraic Covenant and find out if He actually did fulfill ALL the things that were required to prove that He was the Messiah. Like I said, all I see here with this Rabbi is that he too is fearful of losing his control of G_d\'s people if he loses his power base. All I can do though is pity this Rabbi who has chosen to reject G_d and His Son over keeping his power. May G_d be merciful to him when they are face to face. |

| Jesus was either a liar, lunatic or Lord. If He isn\'t the Messiah; the Son of God then He is a liar. Jesus fulfilled all the requirements of the law. He came not so much to teach the Torah as to be a fulfillment of God\'s promise to be the Sacrifice Lamb who takes away the sins of the world. See Psalm 22; Isaiah 7:14; Isaiah 9, Isaiah 45 and Isaiah 53.
Some of my Jewish brethren believe the New Testament is anti-Semitic. It seems obvious they have never read the Old Testament (Tanach) where God rebukes our people for failing to trust and obey Him.
Today the Jewish community is looking for another man king rather than the Lord. They want a Messiah who delivers Israel from its enemies, rebuild the Temple and re-establish sacrifices for sin. They do not understand that God\'s solution is to rid this world of sin, of which all mankind is guilty. We are all enemies of God; Messiah died for the ungodly.
Y\'Shua was the perfect sacrifice. He was completely unblemished. His blood did not cover sin, but washes it away. He was God\'s offering of final atonement. |

| First of all, for any one person to \"forbid\" people to buy or read anything is stupid!! Whether it\'s right or wrong isn\'t the question there!! Let people be people and not sheeple!!!
Second He was Jewish and we have a tendency to forget that and not express/exploit that very fact! So if said book brings out that fact which then takes away a Jews need to change religions and leave Moshe and Torah then more power to him!
Last, to the author, if you\'re going to bring out and accentuate his Jewishness and Torah observance and his encouraging others to observe Torah at is also good but please please stop calling him by a pagan gentile name that wasn\'t even his and use his real name!!! Y\'shua !! Jesus and kosher is an oxymoron!! |

| Not a good idea to forbid anyone to buy or read anything. That is not the way to do it - it makes him look frightened, and is probably counter-productive. It is usually the banned records that end up selling millions.
And anyway, surely Rabbi Boteach is right? Whatever you call him, Joshua, Yeshua, Jesus, he was an itinerant Rabbi, spreading Judaism? It was his followers, probably predominantly Saul/Paul, who had other ideas, and I have my doubts about a lot of the things he is supposed to have said. I cannot believe that he would agree to dispense with circumcision or kashrut - for example - but his followers would have understood that their empire would get bigger if they made it easier to get in. |

| At first, when I read of this flak, I fully agreed with R\' Boteach. If people would actually read this book, it would keep people Jewish, and not follow into apostasy, and help Xtians understand he was a man, not Messiah or God. But having read the comments above, who are just not getting it, I have to say R\' Schochet may have a point. They are going to use this as a tool to try to convert people, Chas v\'shalom. Talk to me when someone actually DOES fulfill the prophecies of Moshiach, people. It will be quite obvious to all. We won\'t have to \"guess\".
