A representative for Natalie Portman confirmed that she is engaged and expecting her first child with her fiancé choreographer Benjamin Millepied.
The pair met on the set of Black Swan, the psychological thriller directed by Darren Aronofsky which stars 29-year-old Natalie Portman as well as fellow Jews Mila Kunis and Winona Ryder as ballet dancers in New York City.
Millepied is a principal dancer at New York City Ballet and a ballet choreographer of international reputation who served as choreographer for Black Swan, and a couple months into filming found himself on the other side of the lens playing the part of Portman's dance partner.
In the critically acclaimed thriller, Portman plays a troubled ballerina on the rise in her ballet company. The Israeli-born actress has earned both Screen Actors Guild and Golden Globe nominations and is a front-runner for an Oscar nod.
